Of Fire and Man

They said that there's a fire on the mountain.
They expected me to put out fire.

I saw a man inside the fire.
The man of legend and fairytale.
The one who swims in the fire and drinks ashes
The one who breathes flame and chokes in the air

I returned to the villagers and said.
There is a fish inside the fire.
A fish, destined to be alone in this world
Without fire the fish will die.
I will not put out the fire.
